In celebration of the 2019 NBA Draft, NBA 2K has decided to release these brand new NBA Draft Packs, featuring some fan favorite players from past and present. The card art looks pretty good in my opinion, and the collection offers some usable players for every MyTeam player’s team. The collection reward is 500 tokens and the packs will only last for around 5 more days!
Available Cards
There are 4 Galaxy Opals, 4 Pink Diamonds and 4 Diamonds available to pull in this promo pack, with the collection reward for acquiring all of the available cards being 500 tokens. Galaxy Opals include Rockets legend Hakeem Olajuwon, Hall-of-famer Oscar Robertson, newest Laker superstar Anthony Davis and the newest Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball.
How much does it cost?
Each single pack costs 11,250 VC and 10,500 MT, while the deluxe single pack (comes with a guaranteed NBA Draft player) costs 15,000 VC and 17,250 MT. The 10-pack deluxe box costs 135,000 VC, and cannot be bought with MT.

2K released a Pink Diamond Lonzo Ball during the last promo packs, and they’ve just taken it to a whole new level. Lonzo gets a Galaxy Opal card who can do-it-all, with insane shooting, slashing, playmaking and defending stats.
Galaxy Opal Oscar Robertson
Notable Stats:
- 98 Ball Control
- 97 Dunk (Driving, Contact)
- 97 Speed and Acceleration
- 96 On-ball Defense IQ
- 97 Midrange (Open, Contested, Off dribble)
- 96 3pt (Open, Contested, Off dribble)
- HOF Posterizer
- HOF Limitless Range

- HOF Ankle Breaker
- HOF Defensive Stopper
Just like Lonzo, this card can do it all. He can score by driving to the rim or raining down threes, rebound like a big man, has great playmaking and is athletic as well. Not to mention, his 6’5″ height, coupled with his defensive attributes makes him a defensive nightmare.
Galaxy Opal Anthony Davis
Notable Stats:
- 98 Defense IQ (Low Post, Help)
- 97 Midrange (Open, Contested)
- 95 Dunk (Driving, Contact)
- 95 Open Shot 3pt
- 94 Speed and Acceleration
- 83 Ball Control
- HOF Posterizer
- HOF Defensive Stopper
- HOF Hustle Rebounder
With a ball control boost (from a coach or shoe), this card is basically unstoppable. AD proves time and time again to be one of the best big men to use for a MyTeam squad, and his insane stats can back that up.
Pink Diamond Karl-Anthony Towns
Notable Stats:
- 97 Midrange (Open, Contested)
- 96 Open Shot 3pt
- 95 Defense IQ (Low Post, Help)
- 90 Dunk (Driving, Contact)
- 89 Speed and Acceleration
- 79 Ball Control
- HOF Posterizer
- HOF Defensive Stopper
- HOF Hustle Rebounder
Moving on to the Pink Diamonds, KAT is one of the best shooting big men of all-time, and this is also true for 2K. His release takes some time to get used to, especially with its relatively slow speed, but once is deadly once mastered. He is great for running Pick-and-fades, and is an excellent slasher and defender as well.
Pink Diamond Jayson Tatum
Notable Stats:
- 98 Dunk (Driving, Contact)
- 98 Midrange (Open, Contested, Off dribble)
- 97 3pt (Open, Contested, Off dribble)
- 95 On-ball Defense IQ
- 94 Speed and Acceleration
- 86 Ball Control
- HOF Posterizer
- HOF Limitless Range
- Gold Dimer
- Gold Ankle Breaker
- Gold Defensive Stopper
Tatum shown into the spotlight during last year’s playoffs, and this card reflects that. This card possesses the same athleticism and shooting Tatum showed off in his head-to-head battle against LeBron, and comes equipped with the defense needed to be a great wing in MyTeam.
Pink Diamond Derrick Coleman
Notable Stats:
- 96 Open Shot Mid
- 95 Defense IQ (Low Post, Help)
- 94 Open Shot 3pt
- 90 Dunk (Standing, Driving, Contact)
- 84 Speed
- HOF Posterizer
- HOF Defensive Stopper
- HOF Hustle Rebounder
Coleman is not known by most casual fans, but the Nets big man was a double-double machine back in his prime, who could occasionally stretch the floor. 2K juiced his shooting ratings while giving his great stats that should be useful in anyone’s squad.
Pink Diamond Jaylen Brown
Notable Stats:
- 97 Driving Dunk
- 95 On-ball Defense IQ
- 94 Midrange (Open, Contested, Off dribble)
- 94 Open Shot 3pt
- 93 Speed and Acceleration
- 90 Ball Control
- HOF Posterizer
- HOF Defensive Stopper
The other half of the Celtics’ young wing duo makes his way into this collection with insane athleticism and great defense. His animations are great, release is easy-to-time, and comes with shooting stats that make him a total offensive threat.
DIAMONDS.
Notable Stats: 97 Rebounding, 95 Open Shot Mid
Notable Stats: 99 Dunk (Standing, Driving, Contact), 93 Open Shot 3pt, 90 Speed and Acceleration
Notable Stats: 99 Dunk (Driving, Contact), 95 Speed, 94 Midrange (Open, Contested, Off dribble)
Notable Stats: 96 Speed and Acceleration, 95 Midrange (Open, Contested, Off dribble), 92 3pt (Open, Contested, Off dribble), 90 Driving Dunk
Here we have the 4 diamonds in the set, all at a 95 overall. We have Pacers center Rik Smits, Magic forward Aaron Gordon, Timberwolves (formerly Cavaliers) forward and 2015 ROTY Andrew Wiggins and Magic (formerly 76ers) guard Markelle Fultz. All cards seem to be extremely usable and are extremely cheap, being the lowest overall cards in the set.
Gordon and Wiggins look extremely cheesy, especially with their tendences and dunking animations, while Fultz looks pretty decent as a point guard option. Smits cannot shoot the three well, but his 7’4″ frame and his great midrange shot makes him a serviceable option as well.
