One of the JBA’s biggest stars Curtis Hollis is yet to move to a new professional league or declare for the NBA draft, so we pose the question, where should he go next. In the JBA Curtis Hollis showed amazing athleticism, play-making, scoring, and defense, making him one of the most complete players in the entire JBA. He averaged an incredible 28.6 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 6.2 assists, in a display that made him a top 5 player in the entire league, but Hollis was not done yet.
After the JBA season, Hollis was selected to play for the JBA USA team, again proving that he will one day play in a high professional league, torching team after team with his amazing scoring ability, averaging 29.7 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.9 assists, proving he is just as talented against seasoned professionals.
But after an amazing year in which Hollis improved his game so much, where will he go next in an effort to eventually play in the NBA?
Future JBA Opportunities
Hollis will always be welcomed back into the JBA as he clearly has the talent to play at that level and now has a very real fan base from his experience as well. But for Hollis at this point, he may be just to talented to go back and do the same thing all over again, it could cause him to become complacent and stagnate as a player.
On the other hand, continuing to tour around Europe playing professional teams can only be good for Hollis, whose biggest weakness is his inexperience against top competition, in a tour setting the JBA could be perfect for him.
Hollis could feasibly at this point declare for the NBA draft and bet his future on his talent, however at this point no JBA players have been projected to be drafted, despite Jordan Ray and Deon Lyle putting their hats into the ring. If undrafted, Hollis could still be eligible for the summer league and the NBA G-League as well.
This is probably Hollis’s best and most likely option as he would get the opportunity to play professionals and improve his game in hopes of playing in the NBA. He could make a high level team, possibly a euro-league team and soon declare for the 2020 NBA draft.
Whatever he decides Curtis Hollis is a very good professional basketball player and we will all be watching to see what he decides to do next.
