I want everyone to fully understand what just happened, Prolific Prep hands Spire and Melo their first loss of season; after which scouts of multiple media outlets finally ranked Melo again amongst his peers. Prolific Prep doesn’t stay the best Grind Session team for long however as they lost to Bella Vista who has 3 5 Star prospects and over 10 D1 Athletes on their roster including Zion Harmon, Ron Artest’s Son, and Terry Armstrong (2018 Grind Session Player Of The Year).  The game was close at Halftime as Bella Vista led 47-44, however late in the 1st half and for the remainder of the game Lamelo Ball caught fire and on a court with so much talent he was head and shoulders above the rest. Making our point very clear, Lamelo Ball isn’t just the 13th best prospect in his class, at only 17 years old Melo is the best player and prospect in his class and proved that tonight with his best performance of the season, falling one assists shy of a record tying triple double.

Bella Vista

Zion Harmon

14 PTS, 3 AST, 3 REB, 6 TO, 5-13 FG

Breakdown: Zion Harmon put on a display of NBA level handles and that was about it in this game, his floater was decent during stretches but he didn’t over  enough in this ball game to warrant much praise. Combine that with 6 turnovers and 2 of his shots being block by Lamelo this was not a game that will do him in favors in his next draft class rankings.

Terry Armstrong

26 PTS, 7 REB, 12-19 FG

Breakdown: I was very impressed with the athleticism on display out of this young man and he even stepped out and hit a lucky bank in 3 pointer. As the previous Grind Session player of the year he started out strong early in this game scoring 10 of Bell Vista’s first 13 points, from that point however it was almost all Lamelo Ball.

Spire

Lamelo Ball A++

36 PTS, 14 REB, 9 AST, 3 STL, 2 BLK, 14-23 FG, 5-9 3P%

Breakdown: Lamelo Ball is not only the MVP of this Game and possibly for the entire year for Grind Session, but i am now doubling down on my assessment of Lamelo. He is the BEST High School Player in the country, and is still younger than ALL of his contemporaries. He is the best prospect and will have the highest ceiling in the NBA of this class, mark my words Lamelo is the real deal. Bella Vista had plenty of talent some of which that could very well end up sniffing the NBA and Melo outclassed them all while leading his team when they needed it most. As soon as the game started too lean towards Bella Vista and they took a 8 point lead, it turned into the Lamelo Ball show as he started passing less and shooting more; leading to a route of Bella Vista 110-85.

Rocket Watts B-

17 PTS, 4 AST, 4 REB
