Lamelo Ball

Season Averages: (18-0) 20.9 PTS 10.5 AST 9.3 REB 4.2 STL 1.3 BLK 55.5% FG 35.0% 3P%

Ball is fresh off his 7th Triple-Double of the season as he posted 14 Points, 13 Assists, 10 Rebounds, 6 Steals, and 2 Blocks (both on Julian Newman) in a highly anticipated matchup between the two hyped athletes. Melo however quickly lived up to they hype as Downey Christian was outclassed and out matched 1-5 against Spire. This matchup while it may not be as viral worthy is much more noteworthy and will be telling for both young Point Guards. I’d expect multiple scouts to attend this game from several universities.

Lamelo Ball is one game away from tying an Ohio HS Basketball record (8) with 7 Triple Doubles, Spire plays again before the 2nd giving Melo a chance to get another Triple Double for Spire (19-1) before playing Harmon. I fully expect a matchup of this magnitude that will be broadcast LIVE on Youtube for the world to see, you should expect Melo, Watts, and Jackson to step and show out.

*Update: Spire lost one of their two contests prior to this matchup (94-59), one of which was against Prolific Prep, a team that is set to play Bella Vista prior to Melo and Harmon’s showdown.  Lamelo finished the game vs Prolific Prep with 20 PTS, 4 AST, 5 REB.

Zion Harmon

Zion W/ Bella Vista: (1-0)  21.0 PTS 4.0 AST 3.0 REB 2.0 STL

Zion Harmon is a 5-star rated Point Guard in the 2020 NBA Draft Class. With him now also facing off against Lamelo Ball and Spire Academy, we will let you know everything about his game.

Harmon is a crafty Point Guard who uses his ball handling to create his own looks. He has a smooth jump shot and is also capable of getting points at the basket. Due to his lack of size, he does have some defensive issues, but for a smaller guard he is very capable on that end as well. He will be even more of a test for Lamelo than Julian Newman will, because he is a 5-star elite prospect, and will help everyone see how good Lamelo really is.

As a 7th Grader Zion averaged 16.6 PTS Per Game and 1.7 Steals on his varsity basketball team, since then he hasn’t looked back as he has had stints with the U17 USA team and is looked at as one of the best 10 Point Guards in the country. Making this a much more interesting match-up.

Bella Vista

Bella-Vista is also set to play Downey Christian and Julian Newman on Feb 3rd. Giving Harmon the chance to play both viral basketball sensations in the span of 24 hours. This was a very well scheduled event by grind session, giving some intrigue to the weekend. Bella Vista is fresh off a win against Prolific Prep the team that handed Spire their only loss on the season (94-59). Making this matchup all the more intriguing, as it will have both star power and Bella Vista boasts a team good enought to contend with and possibly even beat Spire.
