Spire win yet again to increase their record to 12-0 on the season, beating West Oaks Academy by a score of 86-77 in a game that was very close until the very end. Lamelo Ball showed out once again securing his 6th triple double of the season getting 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.

The game started off very shaky for Spire as they had 9 first quarter turnovers leading to a three point deficit after the first period of play, losing 23-20. However that did not last long as Spire held West Oaks to only 9 points in the second quarter, leading to a half time score of 43-32 in Spires favor.

The second half was as even as a half of basketball can be, with each team relying on shooting the three and dunking in transition as much as possible. Neither team could really gain traction on each other in the second half as the game ended with Spire not gaining any more of a lead out of the second half.

The big three for Spire all showed the best that that they have tonight, proving again just how dominant they can be at the high school level. Here we present how we believed they performed tonight.

Lamelo Ball: B

Lamelo showed out with yet another great performance for Spire, but it was far from the best that he has. Lamelo finished with 17 points, a number that many expect to be much higher after he scored over 30 per game against pro teams internationally. Of course Lamelo is much more than a scorer, and it is always impressive finishing with a triple double, but for Lamelo this really was just an average game.

However Melo did have one moment that put the entire crowd in shock, an incredible put-back dunk after a missed layup by Myron Gardner, even in games that he doesnt score 30 points, Lamelo Ball always entertains.

Rocket Watts: A

After a game in which Rocket Watts scored just 5 points on 2-7 shooting, Watts was in a position in which he had to perform, and he did just that. Lighting up the box score with 22 points in an absolutely dominant showing for the Michigan State commit. There have been times this season where it has looked like Rocket Watts is very inconsistent, but when he plays to the best of his abilities he is unstoppable.

Isaiah Jackson: A

Isaiah Jackson had an amazing game today, it may not seem it by just looking at the box score, but he had several incredible dunks as well as blocks that could have just won Spire the game tonight. It is becoming more and more clear to me why Isaiah Jackson is rated as a 5 star recruit with each passing game. Isaiah Jackson could very well be a lottery pick when his time comes.

After another incredible game for Spire there is only one question that needs to be asked, can anyone beat this team? Spires next game is scheduled for January 4th 2019 in the Mustang Madness Tournament
