Lamelo Ball scored 30 points, had 13 assists, and 10 boards in Spire Academy’s 91-79 win over Life Christian Academy in what was a comeback game for him. He achieved his fifth triple double of the season ( 2 double double’s) in just 8 games. After his first poor performance against Lebron’s alma mater the other day, Ball came in and dominated this one, filling up the stat sheet and looking like his usual self.

Rocket Watts scored 10 points, with 3 boards, and 4 assists, in what was a quiet game for the Michigan State commit. Spire led this one nearly all of the way through the game with 45-34 lead at half, although Life Christian Academy cut the lead down to 4 with a little under 5 minutes on the clock. Lamelo had an emphatic dunk in this one highlighting his pure dominance at the high school level.

Going against a previously undefeated Life Christian Academy squad, this win is proof that Spire are one of the best teams in the country. They are clearly on track to be a powerhouse high school squad this season with Lamelo at the helm.

This game could be a point Spire look back on and say it made them know that they are better than everyone else, if they didn’t know before. Spire are the best high school basketball team in the country and are sure to get more and more attention as the season goes on.
