Each week there are many NBA games played when one team is heavily favored, sometimes those games don’t go as most expect, but these five will go just the way they are expected to.
Locks
Atlanta Hawks vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
The Hawks are one of the worst teams in the league this season, so in turn they have given the keys to rookie Trae Young who seems t have a very bright future, but at this point is still very inconsistent. The Thunder have come together this season and look like one of the best teams in this league. Paul George and Russell Westbrook will coast past the Hawks on Friday night.
Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Toronto Raptors
Before the season Tristan Thompson claimed the Cavs still ran the east until someone got through them, well nearly everyone has gotten through them so far this season and that wont stop this Saturday night when Kawhi Leonard and the Raptors go to Cleveland.
Phoenix Suns vs. Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers are on a great run right now as the chemistry between LeBron James and the young talent on the Lakers increases, and they will only continue to grow throughout the season. While the Suns have shown signs of growth the Lakers should take this one with little issue.
Orlando Magic vs. Golden State Warriors
The Warriors have has some issues of late with chemistry and attitude issues in their locker room, they are still by far the best team in the NBA and the Orlando Magic just don’t have the talent to take down the favorite for the NBA title.
New York Knicks vs. Milwaukee Bucks
The Bucks are having a great start to this season behind MVP candidate and superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo and will continue that against a very weak New York squad. The Knicks are struggling without Kristaps Porzingus, who is still recovering from a torn ACL, the talent gap will be to great for the Knicks to break.
This week in the NBA will be an exciting one as always but these 5 games should go exactly as we expect them to.
Upsets
In the NBA there are also many games that don’t go as expected, this week these are the games that will go the way that most don’t see coming.
Utah Jazz vs. Charlotte Hornets
The Hornets can rely on Kemba Walker to be star, he has shown that this season after countless great performances include a 60 point game and a 43 point game. The Jazz are at a point where they may be questioning how good they really are, they will continue to disappoint against Charlotte this week.
Los Angeles Clippers vs. Sacramento Kings
The Clippers are currently the number one team in the Western Conference, but that will only last so long, and De’Aaron Fox is on a tear of late, he and his teammates should continue their own run in this one.
Los Angeles Lakers vs. Indiana Pacers
As I said above the Lakers are starting to find their chemistry, but it is still a work in progress and the Pacers are a formidable team, and I believe that Victory Oladipo is capable of leading them to victory.
Toronto Raptors vs. Miami Heat
The Miami Heat have the perfect combination of defense and offense to have the capability of a Raptors team that goes through one player in Kawhi Leonard. Josh Richardson should be able to contain Leonard while Goran Dragic and the other guards on the Heat get their point.
Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
The Cavs are one of the worst teams in the NBA, that being said the Timberwolves are still integrating Dario Saric and Robert Covington into their system. The Cavs can take advantage by using their star rookie Collin Sexton and Jordan Clarkson to beat this Timberwolves squad.
These upsets may not all happen but more than one are likely because of their match ups and situations that give the underdogs an advantage.
